Jail MAT Clinician (Kent County, MI)

Location: Kent County Correctional Facility

Salary: $66,500

We are seeking a hard working and motivated candidate to work with incarcerated individuals with an Opioid and/or Stimulant Use Disorder at the Kent County Correctional Facility. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree with one year working with the targeted population. Knowledge of the criminal justice system and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) is desired. Applicants will need to pass a background check prior to hire.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing case management, substance abuse education, and outreach to individuals that are incarcerated and if needed in the community

  • Work closely with the Recovery Coaches

  • Work collaboratively with jail and community partners that provide SUD services

  • Meet with clients via telehealth, in person and/or possibly in the community

  • Crisis Management (as needed)

  • Develop release plans and make necessary community referrals

  • If needed, provide transportation to appointments

  • Flexible Schedule but some weekends and holidays required
