RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide peer support pre- and post-release by linking, assisting, and motivating clients in their use of mental health, substance abuse, and other services as they pertain to rehabilitation and recovery

  • Work with and support clients to prepare for meetings with treatment providers, employment, and housing services

  • Work closely with clinical team to coordinate services

  • Conduct home and/or in community visits to engage clients

  • Transport clients to in-community meetings, events, and appointments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license is required.

One year of experience is preferred. Previous participation in mental health or substance abuse services, and/or criminal justice system as a recipient of service and a willingness to share this experience is desirable. Peer Support Specialist or Recovery Coach certification or training preferred.
