The mission of the Family Outreach Center’s Continuing Education Program is to develop, disseminate, and integrate knowledge for professionals. To empower staff and professionals in the community to improve the quality of life for individuals served and themselves. The program is committed to promoting habits of critical thinking that lead to effective practice and creating ethical, passionate, and practical leadership. The continuing education program exists to educate staff to be culturally competent practitioners and encourages, celebrates, and affirms a commitment to social justice and social work values and ethics.

5. To assist and prepare staff and community professionals in obtaining and maintaining professional licenses and credentials.

Those individuals registering for trainings who require ADA accommodations should indicate the accommodations on their registration form or contact the Continuing Education/Training Department directly. Due to the difficulty of moderating room temperatures to meet individual needs and/or satisfaction, we recommend that you wear layered clothing, regardless of the outdoor temperature, in order to best meet your comfort needs throughout the training.
Individuals who have questions or concerns regarding training content, presenter, venue, or process/procedure may indicate the issue on the evaluation form provided at the end of each training or may opt to file a formal grievance by downloading the form from the forms section of this website or requesting one from our Continuing Education/Training Department.
