Professionals with a MSW or master’s degree in a related field with state licensure wanted to work full time. Experience in providing services to children,adolescents and their families preferred. Services to be provided in homes and other community based settings.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1) assessing mental health and substance use disorders using the DSM IV diagnostic code; 2) incorporating and maintaining a person and family centered treatment planning approach with children/families; 3) developing and implementing clinical interventions appropriate to the identified needs of the child/adolescent and family; 4) referrals for psychiatric services, including assessments for psychotropic medication; 5) referrals for group counseling and other supportive services ; 6) the ability to work independently and manage an active case load of approximately 21 families; 7) the timely completion of all clinical reports; and 8) the ability to work as a member of a team. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders in children, adolescents and adults is a must. Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred.
