Accounts Receivable Specialist 
Family Outreach Center is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist part-time in the billing department. (Potential future full-time opportunity.)
Experience and Abilities:
Successful candidate will have a high school diploma (associates or bachelors degree preferred) and a minimum of one year experience in medical billing on a database system; experience in behavioral health and Medicaid billing in a Managed Care environment (prior authorization) a plus. Experience with HIPAA EDI transactions also a plus. Detail oriented, self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently, good organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated technical proficiency including significant experience with Excel, Word and Outlook within in a networked environment. Comfortable working with a diverse staff and clientele. Experience using CMHC/MIS or Qualifacts CareLogic systems a plus.
General Duties:
Investigate and correct both services not billed and denied claims; perform cash application data entry; provide assistance with insurance verification and prior authorization, assist with the billing process; request approval to write off uncollectible claims; perform miscellaneous data entry, maintain daily logs, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Schedule:
Flexible schedule within agency hours to be determined, up to 19 hours per week to start (potential to increase hours potentially to full time depending upon success with position).

Bilingual Family Engagement Therapy Case Manager 
Case Manager Position - Hispanic bilingual
The Family Engagement Therapy (FET) Program is a community based program serving women with substance using disorders and their families. This is a long term service that addresses all identified needs within the family. The case manager is supervised by the FET Coordinator and is responsible for:
- developing a comprehensive family budget
- identifying, securing, and coordinating community resorces for family
- stabilization
- gather and record research data
- reviewing and monitoring program activity
- complete any assignments given by the program coordinator

C.H.I.L.L. Social Worker - working with children and adults 
Project C.H.I.L.L. has an opening for a full-time licensed (or eligible for licensure) social worker with a bachelor’s degree in social work. Experience developing and providing group services to children is required. Project C.H.I.L.L. is an after school prevention program for children between the ages of 6-17 whose parents are actively engaged in mental health treatment. Prevention Specialist - Project CHILL (Children receiving Help In Living and Learning) - Part Time 
Project CHILL is an after-school and summer enrichment program for children between the ages of 6 and 12 living with a parent with a diagnosed mental illness and/or co-occurring disorder.
The Prevention Specialist must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, and be licensed in the State of Michigan in their field of study. Responsibilities include: 1) assessing prevention needs; 2) developing prevention plans; 3) assisting, developing, and facilitating lessons plans for prevention groups, 4) conducting home visits to program participants and their parents; 5) assisting in planning and participating in special activities, 6) ability to work independently and as a team member 7) assist in providing transportation—must possess or be eligible for a chauffer’s license.
The Prevention Specialist will work closely with the Program Coordinator in executing the duties outlined above. During the school year, Project CHILL has program activities Monday-Wednesday from 4-7:30pm. During the summer, the program activities are Monday-Wednesday 9am-4pm. The position currently requires 28 hours per week.
Compensation:
An hourly rate without medical benefits will be established based on experience. PTO (paid time off) will be based on actual hours worked.

Foster Care Case Management Specialist 
Family Outreach Center is seeking professionals with a Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with eligibility for state licensure to provide Foster Case Management Services to families placed through the Agency’s Foster Care Program.The Foster Care Case Manager provides services to children placed in Foster Care and their families to ensure protection and stabilization for the children and to assist the families in developing and completing a successful plan for reunification.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in intake, placement and replacement of children who are referred to the Agency by the Department of Human Services (DHS) • Develop, implement, document and review behavioral goals, methodology of service delivery and objectives as listed in a Parent Agency Agreement. • Provide family and individual counseling in coordination with the service plan. • Provide crisis intervention and case management services to the child, the family and the foster parents. • Prepare all necessary reports as required by DHS and the legal system according to prescribed guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field; child welfare experience preferred. • Demonstrated competence in the issues of separation and loss as they relate to the foster care population. • Valid Michigan Driver License with clean driving record and appropriate auto insurance.
Licensing Experience and CWTI training preferred

Hispanic Family Engagement Therapist 
FOC has an immediate opening for a full-time bi-lingual master’s level therapist in our Hispanic Family Engagement Program. The program is comprised of the therapist, a bachelor’s level case manager and will also include a recovery coach. The minimum anticipated caseload is 25 women. Members of each participant's household is also eligible for services. The women served will have a substance abuse diagnosis and will be the custodial parent of at least one child under the age of 17. Services are offered in the home or at other mutually agreed upon community based locations. Drug and Alcohol Assessors 
Family Outreach Center is looking for qualified professionals to complete initial evaluations, and provide diagnosis and treatment recommendations for individuals needing a drug and/or alcohol assessment.
Education and Experience:
A Masters in Social Work or a related field is required with the appropriate licensure and/or certifications. The successful candidate must also be a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (CAADC). Two to five years experience in conducting drug and alcohol assessments is preferred.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work independently with good organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills. Training and/or experience in working with low income individuals and diverse communities is desired. The assessments will be conducted in the homes of the individuals being referred by the Department of Human Services Children's Protective Services Division and child welfare workers. The successful candidate must be able to complete the drug and alcohol assessment in the home or community. Knowledge of the local resources associated with treating mental health and substance using individuals is necessary.
Compensation:
Payment is on a fee for service basis at a rate of $30.00 per hour. Each assessment is scheduled for a two hour block of time and producing a report is reimbursed at $15.00 per report. Mileage is also paid. The positions are part-time. Only professionals with flexible schedules that meet the needs of the clients, as well as the demands for the service will be considered. This position has no other benefits.

Outpatient Therapist Part-Time 
Family Outreach Center is interested in identifying Master's level Social Workers to provide outpatient mental health and substance abuse services in its outpatient clinic. The successful candidate must have experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Licensure with the State of Michigan to practice as a social worker (LMSW) or the equivalent is required. In addition, the successful candidate must also be a current Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (CAAC). The program has successfully integrated its mental health and substance abuse outpatient services into a single program that has a strong emphasis on serving low income individuals and families and people of color with co-occurring disorders. The agency offers person and family centered services to addressing the wide range of issues that impact both individuals and family functioning.
Services will be provided at our main office, in the homes of clients, and/or at several new outreach sites that include schools in the greater Grand Rapids area and other social service organizations where our targeted populations are served.
The agency is most interested in hiring part-time staff at this time.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: 1) assessing mental health and substance use disorders using the DSM IV diagnostic code; 2) developing and implementing clinical interventions appropriate to the identified needs of the client population; 3) recognizing the need for psychiatric services, psychotropic medication and refering for in-house services; 4) referrals for group counseling and other supportive services ; 5) the ability to work independently with active clients; 6) the timely completion of all clinical reports; and 7) working as a member of the team. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders in children, adolescents, adults and that are gender specific is desirable.
Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred. Many of our outreach sites are located in schools where Spanish language is necessary to providing service.
